Regional Digital Health Wallets Thailand Inception Workshop
HealthTAG joined the Regional Digital Health Wallets (DHW) Thailand Inception Workshop on 17 June 2026 in Nonthaburi. WHO Thailand and the Ministry of Public Health convened the workshop to discuss the development of digital health wallets in Thailand.
HealthTAG contributed perspectives from its work on health data infrastructure, with attention to secure connections and patient-centered design. Connected information needs clear access permissions so patients can understand and control how their health information is used.
Personal health records and digital health wallets
The discussion covered how personal health records can help people access their own health information and how digital health wallets can carry information or digital credentials when people receive care. Trust therefore depends on more than connecting systems. It also requires clear identity, access, and accountability across the organizations involved.
